Positioning 3 Tackling 4 Punting 5
Vision 3 Blocking 1 Speed 15
Intelligence 17 Passing 2 Strength 7
Footwork 6 Catching 7 Agility 3
Carrying 4 Kicking 6 Stamina 4

I'm not sure, would he be able to get a lot better at passing?

What's his talent level and consistency? If those aren't good, he's probably not a QB long term. Not sure he's got the strength right now to be a HB...if he's not going to be your QB, I think you need to train up his strength and speed and see where he maxes out.

You must train phisicals to know the cap, but now i like this player more than WR, not HB.

at the moment there isn't much need for high level RBs
i'd recommend going through your squad and pick out all the the high talent, high potential players and try to fit them into the following key positions;
QB - talent, intel, consistency
WR - good physicals, consistency
MLB - intel, physicals
SF - intel, physicals (maybe consistency also)
TE - same as WR

once you have these positions filled with your best players, then look to fill in the rest of the gaps

you're right, but i wouldn't bother hunting out a particularly great person as a kicker at the start, why bother having a consistent kicker if you're only going to train his skill to 7-10?

high consistencty is only useful once you start getting skills up to 15/16+
and for a young team, i would advise to take the wage hit on getting a great qb/WR combo, but it's prob not worth investing much into a kicker until you're flush with cash

agreed but i have had the same kicker since the start and as its the only training coach i dont use its worked out, saves finding one in the future. all this gets dependent on the physicals which is a boon later on for a new team having to replace players due to bad physical stats which originally looked perfect.

Shouldn't talent be a condiseration for every position? I would think you'd definitely want your most talented players in the key positions you listed, but shouldn't you shoot for high talent across the board?

yup, but i was talking more for when starting out
these are the positions i think you want your talent in early. filling in great players in the other positions is a bonus
