Just read the training section of the FAQ and had a couple of questions:
1. Players can train essentially at the same rate until age 27, right?
2. Whats a good training intensity? Average or should you max out your training when you first start out?
3. Teamwork acts on an individual basis or a team basis (average of the whole team)? A player with high teamwork will essentially train faster?
Thanks,
Steve

I train average, and my players sit at 100% fitness with a few injuries. Your milage may vary.

1. That is correct.
2. It seems common to train on "Average".
3. Individual - and yes, a player with high teamwork will essentially have a better chance to train faster. (I say "better chance" as luck may go against a player with 20 Teamwork, where as luck may be at its highest for a player with 15 Teamwork).

What develops a player from a 2 star to a 2 1/2 star or 3 star? Is it training and if so, what is the best way to do this? Specific training, all skills?
thanks

Match time.
To improve the 'positional rating' of a player - The stars that you see on your roster and on the transfer list - you must give your player match time....
We believe that there are no other factors.

So basically, the more games they play the higher the rating? And does friendly challange, have any energy/fitness or possible injury effects on the players?

In theory, yes.
Energy/Fitness levels are ONLY affected by training.
Injuries are also ONLY affected by training.
I hope this helps

Are we sure on the rating only being a positional kind of thing? I think stats probably have to play SOME part in it. Someone get a mod to answ....oh wait.

My personal view is that is does not, and that it is carried out on the same basis as "Team Chemistry".

I thought that players' star rating could increase for 2 main reasons:
1) Playing enough matches to switch is Natural Best Position to the position set by the Manager.
