first off not a lions fan just an outside observer, but they excised the main cancer when they fired millen. Now they need to get someone in there with football sense to start building a good team, but you have to admit, trading away a player that they were going to get nothing for, and getting a 1st 3rd and 6th? that's a really well orchestrated trade.

Dont know how trading one of your best offensive players is a good thing.....but the lions seem to always be the punch line of the league with out with out matt as the GM

It's a good thing if he is in the last year of his contract and has expressed a lack of interest in resigning at the end of the season. ye olde something for nothing exchange.

It's a great thing. He didn't want to be in Detroit anymore and pretty soon would have been a distraction and he was in the last year of his contract anyway. Any draft pick in the NFL is like gold, so getting a 1st, a 3rd, and a 6th is like hitting a gold mine.

Now they need to go out and get someone who is committed to turning the O-line and the defense around. The skill positions on offense are fine, but you can't do anything without defense and protection.

Well Jerry Jone is starting to turn into the Raiders....they got more inmates on there team that the local jail plus giving up 3 top picks for 1 WR is a bit MUCH
