Tackling for CB/STCB

How important is tackling for CB and STCB?

My CBs have a combined total of 3 tackles. And my STCB have none.

While my Gunners are getting up to 5 each a game.

Currently still in a run happy division. Will tackling become more important in higher pass happy divisions?

STCB blocks, not tackle they need the same skills as a normal CB but substitute Tackle with Blocking, as stated by the Admin.

Tackling is important for CBs since it limits the amount of missed tackles on passing plays, even if the tackle isn't recorded in the stats.
