if you place a player as kicker and in the game, he dosent do a single kick.
does he still get the team chemistry and the position rating?
cuz its just like he havent been playing.

I think that is personal opinion. I don't like to play young guys out of position (unless it's future CB's at STCB), because they also get bpos for that position and I've just spent almost 2 seasons changing a gunner to DE. True, he can fill in at gunner anytime now, but changing bpos for players already solid in another position appears to take longer...........or maybe just more randomness sprinkled in the game

your placekicker will allways get atleast one kick each game, when first or second half starts
