I'm not a rookie anymore, but my question for the community is also interesting for rookies, so ....
Many Owner are looking for the high talent player, which I understand, because a high talent level results in higher levels in most skills.
But getting some skills on a level, where the talent becomes very importent (>10+) takes some time. Additionally you have to have the money for such player, which might not happen until 3-5 seasons in the game. So a lot of playing time passes until someone can really produce skilled players and can affort them.
So playering a low talent player might be OK until you have to have better skills.
My question is:
If you have to players at the same position (with BPOS the same) with same skill levels unter 10 and one player is a 5* talent player and the other one is a 1* player, does this effect the performance on gameday?
Does the 5* player get a bonus for his talent level in plays?

no they'll play at the same level, however the higher talent player will quickly be better than the other as he will be able to reach a higher maximum bpos, which in turn will give him an advantage.
in addition higher talent players will increase their bpos faster, so there some advantages.

High BPOS is also a way of getting a high positional skill for no wage increase. While a players main skills are low then BPOS is more important.

So you think
1) basic performance without BPOS-Bonus is equal
2) high talent players gets more and easier BPOS-Points while playing at their position, which result in some sort of BPOS-Bonus
I understood, that BPOS is like an additional skill.
So playing a BPOS LB on WR gives no bonus or maybe a malus, playing a BPOS WR on WR gives a bonus.
So you think a 1*BPOS gets (fictional) 10% bonus, a 5*BPOS gets (fictional) 50% bonus?
THAT would indeed be a good reason to get rid of the low talent players.
I think the bonus is more that BPOS for higher talented players can be higher. A half star talent player will have a max BPOS of 3 stars while a 5 star talent player will have a max BPOS of 5 stars

That would mean BPOS only illustrates somehow the overall level of the player, with no effect on gameday beside the right/wrong-position-thing.
