I take it that when I see 4th - N. America, Div. V.21 - that means I am in 4th place in the North America conference, Division 5 - not sure what the .21 means. If I challenge a team that is 10th - conference, Div III.1; am I challenging a better team. I assume Div III is a higher division than Div V. Am I correct in my assumtions?

The 21 is the league number you're in. North American region, division 5, league 21.

You are right that division 3 is a higher division, but it doesn't necessarily mean they're a better team.

you are correct.... the .21 is the league within the 5th division (think pyramid structure, where there are more leagues as you go lower in division than in the previous one... )

so you are 4th place in league 21 in division 5, in North America

I understand that the top team gets promoted to a higher division, and the bottom 3 teams get demoted.

What happens if you finish in the bottom 3 in Division 5?

As long there is no Division 6 created -> nothing, you just stay in Division 5

Most definitely. You should finish with an 11-7 record. You play 2 of the teams currently tied for first (the top two by pt diff.) And you're only 2 games out of first. You should have point difference wrapped up by the end of the season, all you need is for the bots to finish about .500 each against each other, which they've pretty much been doing the whole season it looks like.
While there's no guarantee, you do have a good shot at winning this league since all other teams are bots. Unless you quit, it's very unlikely that you will finish in the bottom 3.
