Do I need dedicated ST cornerbacks, or can I use my regular CB in that position?

ST CB is a good place to get more positional rating for future CBs

You wouldn't want to use your regular CB in the position of STCB, since the STCB needs blocking and the CB does not. However, many folks use future CB's at STCB to get them some "team chemistry" and "bpos." Since both positions receive those for the CB position

You will train tackling and agility of your CB so blocking will go up with it

I don't have any STCB's. The engine isn't sophisticated enough to actually have good Special Teams, so no reason to waste time/money on dedicated STCB's. Right now I'm training up my 2 new CBs while my good ones play Defense.

It depends how you train. I focus train these skills, so the blocking skill gets very little points. 75% go to the "focus" skill, which would be tackling or agility (depending on the focus), leaving only 10% or 5% going to the other two skills. Blocking will not change significantly. If I'm training an STCB, then I would focus on blocking or agility, not tackling. So the same thing would apply

This may be a good point. I do train up my future cb's at the stcb position, but I have players for the stcb position that I train blocking on for my important matches. Whether it helps or not will be determined down the road a bit more when the skill levels improve
