At what point is it worthwhile to start upgrading the staff? When I do start upgrading, is there anyone in particular I should be focusing on?

Thanks!!

for you, not yet
not until your stadium has lots of seats.
Stadium upgrading is BY far the most important thing to do when you start

always build VIP first, the Exec seats then regular

Ok thanks. I will focus on the stadium first. How about upgrading staff vs. fitness center? Which one is better to do?

My advice is to follow the following path:

1. Get all the VIP seats.
2. Buy and fully upgrade a fitness center and hire a Fitness Coach 20 (fitness skills doesn't affect salary ).
3. Get all the Executive seats.
4. Buy and fully upgrade a training hall and hire Coach 20x4 (don't get the Special Teams coach. It isn't worth it in my opinion).
5. Get about 20k regular seats (depending on division level).
6. Buy a Club Shop and fully expand it.

imo, fitness should not be put ahead of exec seats

personally i'd recommend doing the main coach purchase in two stages as wages can surprise people when they suddenly hit.

i know it is a lot less eficient financially, but i think you can get very good value in getting def. coaches early, as these can also be used to train off.players for blocking and agility.

though, this is just personal preference...

but on the whole agree with jesper's layout

I would say you should get the training hall before the coaches. Coaches Wages are way more expensive every week than the hall. Of course the hall costs a lot when building, but it will affect all atributes and you will save money on the long term.

Yes that works as well, but it is financial doable it with the template I have laid out, and it adds the bonus that you get quite a few weeks of fitness training.

I did something similar.

1. I brought 500 regular, 100 VIP and 100 Exec seats. (The extra weekly income pays for my step 2.)

2. Then purchsed fully upgraded fitness centre + fitness coach 20.

3. Now I'm currently purchasing more VIP and Exec seats. Currently at 500 VIP, 600 Exec and 5500 regular seats. Won't be buying any more regular seats for a while. Unless I have 2 away games in a row, then I'll purchase the minimum 100 regular seats to save 2 weeks maintainence cost.

4. Then I'll go onwards from step 4 listed above.

edit// In 15 days, I'll have an extra 900 VIP and 2400 Exec seats, adding $231,000 to my ticket income.

Buying the extra "regular" seats early on, will actually compromise your potential income for friendly matches and may compromise your potential income for league games if you don't win most of your games. The reason for this is the attendance is taken randomly, as a percentage, across all of your seats. The stadium does not fill up vips first, then execs, then reg seats. If you win all your games, it will not effect your league games so much, but it will most definitely effect your potential "friendly income."
