I hope for your sake it was pre All-star break. Before he lost it at the end of the season.

Just glad to see he's bounced back so far this year. And even more glad to see Niese have a little success, since he's only a year older than me and I actually talked to him some in school. Graduated with his sister as a matter of fact.

Speaking of graduation, I just remembered it was 4 years ago today that I graduated high school. I feel old.



Nah, I picked him up after his impressive start, so he didn't last long, but he showed signs of being pretty good

I'm technically an only child, buy my dad remarried and my step mom had 4 grown kids. So I've basically got 10 nieces and nephews(after tonight). 6 boys and 4 girls, between the ages of newborn and I think 11. The one who's in labor right now is the one I'm closest to, so her kids are of course the ones I'm closest to as well.

Nothing like hanging out and having fun with a 3 year old boy and 5 year old girl lol. Some of the stories they come up with are epic.

I can tell you all this much. When I was like 15, 16, I was convinced I didn't want kids. I didn't have the patience for them and they got on my nerves. But in the past few years being around them more, I can't wait(well I can, having fun with the single life right, but you know what I mean). Once they get past those first couple of years they're just so much fun.

I have 2 kids, 8 and 10 and they are biggest joy life can bring. I will add though, the first couple years, take a lot of work, but looking back, those were really special too. Nowadays, I wish I had a tape recorder on me 24/7, I'd write a book in a few more years

LMAO so I wake up this morning to 3 text messages. First one asks if this is the number for a good time. 2nd says they're tired of getting numbers from the stalls and not getting a replay. 3rd says if you wanna play hard to get I can play too. At this point I'm slightly confused but thinkin hey, maybe some girl got my number and I should give it a shot.


I then get a 4th. Turns out my uncle got my number and was playing a joke on me.

So as I expected, Defiance High School now has 2 more alumni with a chance to play professional baseball. These are our 5th and 6th draftees since 2002. 2 didn't make it(one because of injuries, one just didn't make it), 2 are currently in the majors. We'll see how these 2 do, but we have a good track record with pitchers. The one who just didn't make it was an outfielder, the other 5 are all pitchers.

Congrats to Dace Kime and Tyler Burgoon(despite the whole going to Michigan for 3 years thing). Hopefully we'll see you in the majors beside Billingsley and Niese in a few years.
