My high school's baseball team is at state a few miles down the road from me this weekend! But I have no money to go watch em. I may sneak in if they win today and play for the state title though.

Very nice, I'm cheering on the Gators Baseball and Softball teams that both made it to the College World Series for their respective sports

And they lost, so I don't have to worry about if Mr. C actually put in a good word.

On the plus side, this was their first trip to state since 2002, they finished up 29-2, and we'll probably have our 4th and 5th draft picks in the last 8 years in a weeks time. If not, then we'll still have 2 division 1 college pitchers next season(even though one IS at Michigan ).

Never thought my little no name home town would become a hotbed for professional pitchers, but it looks like it has.

Tomorrow could have been a huge day in town. Our 2 current major leaguers are scheduled to pitch(Jon Niese for the Mets at 4, Chad Billingsley for the Dodgers at 10), and at 8 would have been the state title game. But it's not meant to be I guess.

On the awesome side, my summer officially starts in 5 days!

Nice, actually had Billingsley on my fantasy team for a stint last season

I hope for your sake it was pre All-star break. Before he lost it at the end of the season.

Just glad to see he's bounced back so far this year. And even more glad to see Niese have a little success, since he's only a year older than me and I actually talked to him some in school. Graduated with his sister as a matter of fact.

Speaking of graduation, I just remembered it was 4 years ago today that I graduated high school. I feel old.
