So guys, Jarome Iginla was the catcher for Canada's national junior team, and he also onc eplayed goaltender, he's clearly a physical freak, and not a diver weakface.

Cough cough Forsberg

As for the A's thing, wikipedia's listing goes from latest to earliest, strange.

And what do I think the Sox did? Not buy a championship, that's the Bankees.

Or, of course, the Wings

The Wings did buy A championship. 2002. And I'll be the first to admit it. The ones in the 90s were with home grown people(Yzerman, Lidstrom, Federov, etc.). About the only key player on the team who wasn't drafted by the Wings was Shanahan. And any title won since the lockout in the cap era was clearly not bought.

And yes, the Red Sox DID buy championships. They aren't as bad as the Yankees, but when you're led by guys Curt Schilling, Johnny Damon, Mike Lowell, Josh Beckett, etc. who were all brough over via free agency or trades, that's pretty much the definition of buying them. But it's cool because no baseball team wins with home grown guys anymore. Except the Twins.

Lowell and Beckett were both gotten in a trade, not really bought, because they gave up a bunch of good, young prospects for them.

You may have heard of this guy named Hanley Ramirez.

Also, you know how cheap the Wings are?

They bought Kris Draper.

For how much?

HOW MUCH?

A dollar

1

Dollar

That's cheap

Also, we did draft Schilling, but we did trade him away, and then traded back for him for 3 guys. We probably cut down on salaries with that 1.

Could be because Draper isn't all that good. The one thing I'll remember him for was being the guy who got his face smashed by that complete tool Claude Lemieux, starting the greatest hockey rivalry of the 20th century. You know, before Lemieux curled up into a ball and cried for his mommy as soon as a real man like Darren McCarty came at him.

And the way I look at it, if you trade your top prospects to get a big name player, you still bought them. Otherwise, you may as well say the Yankees are fine. After all, Jeter, Rivera, Posada, etc. all came up with them. Quite a few players they got were in trades.

So guys

The Avs won the SC very early in their existence

But did you know that this isn't all that impressive, considering they had just mover from Quebec, where they had been the 1st seed, and then added Patrick Roy?

They pretty much just bought a championship team, and this is a guy who dished out loads of money, I believe he also owned the Nuggets, and just bought the Rams. Think he also owns some MLS team.

They bought a championship.

And? What do you think the Red Sox did........it happens.

Can't believe I'm defending both monkey and the Avs here. As for A's World Series wins in the last 99 years, yeah. There's 8 of them. 1911, 1913, 1929, 1930(all in Philadelphia), then 1972, 1973, 1974, and 1989 in Oakland. That's more World Series wins in the last 99 years for the A's than the Red Sox in their existance. Nice run up there in Boston from 1918 to 2004......

With all of that said though, monkey still isn't awesome. And Croverja is. Why? Cause he's in the awesome club and monkey isn't.

Well Draper didn't score too many points, but he did get the Selke award in 2004.

Which I thought was the lockout year, but oh well.

Selke award for 04 would have been the 03-04 season. Lockout was 04-05.

I will give him that. He's a good defensive forward, good penalty killer. And obviously his teammates liked him because they fought hard for him and got revenge for him against the Avs.

But anyway, the point in all of this is that monkey sucks and flings poo. And therefore isn't awesome.

Whether or not he's even awseome is up for discussion. Just not here. We don't care.
