I believe it is only trainable skills that are affected by consistency.

hmmmm i may have to disagree with you on that....

from the FAQ:

9. What is player's consistency?
If the player has 20 consistency, then the player will always play as good as he can. His match starting rating will only be affected by his fitness level and team chemistry. However, the lower the consistency value, the higher the chance the player will perform either better or worse than he is usually able to. Don't worry though, the player cannot play 2 times worse as he is able to, because his game rating can be affected by consistency for maximum 20% (gain or loss). Simply put, player with consistency 20 will always play at his full ability (given fitness and team chemistry permit it), while the performance of the player with consistency 1 will vary randomly from -20% to +20% of his basic performance rating in each game.

key points...

.....while the performance of the player with consistency 1 will vary randomly from -20% to +20% of his basic performance rating in each game

to me as its affecting his overall performance, intelligence must be affected... at least in his general play.

the one area that is unclear is MLB Intel on deciding on Pass/Run plays... for this i don't think anyone knows either way (it would just be assumption/guesswork)

hmm yup
was talking the LBs Intelligence, since the "bonus-to-offense" depends only on that(or is it otherwise?)

I'm assuming you mean the LB's intelligence and its importance for identifying Run and Pass plays... as stated in the news section below?

As you might have noticed, we added a new set of orders to the formation editor. You can now choose on what you want your defensive team to focus on each down - rush or pass. If your call is correct, then your defensive team will receive a small bonus for the current play. If not, then your defensive coordinator (most intelligent middle LB) can still organize the defense so it won't receive penalties nor bonuses. If, however, your decision is wrong and your LB fails to organize the right play, then the attacking team will receive a small bonus for the current play.

in that case we have no confirmed information either way I don't think (or at least i cant remember a specific admin quote....)

so anything stated as to whether Intel in this case is affected by consistency for the sake of these 'tests' is just self opinion...

It would make sense that non-trainable skills wouldn't be affect, or else it could evolve into an interesting situation of Consistency affecting Consistency

Would love to get a clear statement from the game developers on this matter of what is affected and what isn't.

the admins have said in the past that consistency acts on the other skills at the start of the game...

also, intell is part of the "SKILLS" listed for a player, while TW and Consistency are listed in the "OTHER" section, i would imagin that as it says consistency affects a players skills, it means all the skills in the "SKILLS" section... but sure we could debate the merit of many views on this...

definitely needs an admin comment...
