Has anything been said about 'Missed Tackles' in the game engine?, because today i gave up a 98yard TD because two of my best tacklers, one with 15 and one with 10 tackling both missed tackles, and both had 16 and 18 speed respectively. My post is due to sour grapes yes, but im just abit annoyed that it happened, and both players have high consistency too.


(also if anyone is looking at my game, check out the anguish in my final drive )

well, tackling alone isnt all that is needed, what were the strength of your guys like? also, the opposing player could have had decent agility, speed, strength themselves.. unless you scout them you really cant know... and looking at Hemmingsen he is no slouch....

Yeah that is true i suppose, the 15 tackling has high strength and the 10 is mediocre. Just 98 yards is alot, and i just scouted his WR he isn't quicker than any of my DB's and two LB's, someone should of surely been able to catch him haha:p

Sadly two broken tackles means a TD on passing plays. So the WR could have had Speed 1 and would still have scored a 98 yard touchdown.

even if u have high strength/tackling/agility, I beleiwe, that just reduces the chances of your guys missing tackles against a worse opposition

yep, i think (personal opinion) that speed is really only factored in when the engine calculates the distance from the line of scrimmage to the point of the tackle... but as i say just a thought.... with strength tackling etc being responsible for success of the tackle.

lets hope the new engine has a little more realism in it... (ie slow WR's not being able to keep going after 2 broken tackles and get a TD when the rest of the defense is faster than them lol)

I'd like a bit more realism and detail to, I gave up a 55-yard pass today due to 2 of my LB's missing tackles, just curious as to where my secondary went to!

The next play my RB went 61 yards, so I guess evens out

Yeah i mean even if my players missed the tackles fell over rolled around and made a sandcastle and then got back up would of made the tackle:p
