How does promotion work? Is there a certain position you need to be or is there some form of playoff?

First place only is promoted, no form of playoff to my knowledge.

1st place get promoted.
Bottom 3 de-moted.

If promoted you go up one division and your league is worked out by the league you won divided by 3 (rounded up).

e.g.

If you win V.24 you go to IV.8
If you win III.7 you go into II.3
