Is playing an unconventional 5-2 def( as suggested below) equivalent to playing with MLb with
Intelligence =0 / 1?
<>ED TD NT DT DE

Nope. The conventional 5-2 consists of 2 DE, 2 DT, 1 NT, and 2 MLB.
DE-DT---NT---DT-DE
----MLB-----MLB----
That's pretty much how it looks traditionally IRL, without any modifications. The MLBs are lined up in front of the offensive guards who are unmanned at the LOS.

typo ++
(Ofcourse in rl u use the 5-2 against run oriented O)

So well what if u use the formation I suggested or "bend and hope u do not break" 9 DBs and 2 DLs or any formation with no MLBs.
Since the engine finds no "defensive brains", what goes into the calculations etc etc

Your guess is as good as mine. I have no idea..never seen it tried. I'm gonna attempt a crazy formation in my next game though, a 5-6. That should stop the run.
