Ok, I actually have a formula for these now, but I'm missing part of it due to not wanting to go through every cup game.

These rankings will only rank teams from the top 3 levels, although a level 3 team getting listed will be rare. I could do the work to rank level 4, but there's no point as it's (almost) mathematically impossible for one to make it with the formula I'm using.

Basically, here's what I need. Anytime someone in one of the top 3 levels gets knocked out of the cup, I need to know who beat them. This won't be an issue for me to track once we get to the final 64 or whatever, but until then I'll need notification. If someone was just willing to look over level 3 for me, I could probably handle the top and 2nd levels. I also need this retroactive...I don't know if anyone from the top 3 levels has been knocked out yet, but I need to know if they have. Thanks.

The Texas Aggies of 3.3 were knocked out by the TCB Raider's.

Miami Gamecocks of 3.6 were knocked out by Hipcat.

THat's it two teams.Last edited on 2010-03-06 at 23:45

I know...using PD as a tie-breaker isn't ideal, but the further we get in the season (and once I get cup data), there will be fewer ties to break. II.1 and III.9 will be at the biggest disadvantage because I'm not going to take out points against bots.
I'm going to stick with the formula I have for the rest of the season...I'll tweak it in the offseason if I don't like how the results turned out.

Thanks...looks like Miami was on 3/1, but didn't fix whatever their roster problem was that caused the bot loss.

I've made note of both of those now.

And the only two losses I found in the top two levels were Zombieland to Delhi and Laval to Chicago Bears.

For what it's worth, that puts Delhi and Chicago at 27 and 28, respectively.

So that means in both of our rankings I'm the top team in division 3.

Their are quite a few good matches next week in the cup though.

Yeah, I started this last week as a joke/commentary...which made me think about it, which made me develop a formula, which makes me want to keep doing it.

I just need a catchy name for it now.
