When deciding where to line up your 5 OL guys, what do you look for in a Center as opposed to a Guard or Tackle? Do you differentiate between Left or Right for Tackles & Guards? I know what I would do in Real Life, but I'm not sure that really matters in the GI world.

i think having your best blockers as tackles and centres and fill in your guards with the best you got left and a personal thing is i like having a good consistency centre(not sure its necessary but i like a good ball snapper )

I have never seen a failed snap, I guess this is not so important here...I put my strongest blocker/strength guys in the middle for center and guard, and some guys with a bit of positioning, footwork, and vision for tackle

I like to put my fastest OL guys at the tackle spot, I put the slow guys at guard and center. As for strength and blocking, well that is key to all my OL guys, so I don't differentiate there. I also look for a bit more agility in my tackles versus footwork for the guards and center. Once you get there, I think position and vision are important for all OL positions

This is where i would like some implementation of weight, i mean i have absolutely no idea how it would work in the engine, but still would help to decide some positions.

Considering that all my offensive line have atleast 15 strength, i put the ones with more speed and better footwork and agility at tackles. Just because i see that as important. However we have no idea how speed of tackles affects blitz's and everything else. So right now i am just guessing on what would be realistic.Last edited on 2010-03-04 at 2:44

In my opinion, Agility would be best for Tackles since they aren't actually running anywhere. And Speed would be for Guards, since they are the ones that would be pulling. But who knows with this engine. As I said, I'm just trying to figure out where to put my top 5 guys in games that actually matter.

OL1: 18 st & 10 bl, 15 sp & 5 ag
OL2: 15 st & 7 bl, 10 sp & 4 ag
OL3: 16 st & 9 bl, 15 sp & 7 ag
OL4: 18 st & 9 bl, 16 sp & 6 ag
OL5: 18 st & 8 bl, 11 sp & 4 ag

This is my opinion. Centre imo the worst player (but best CON if poss?), because he will get alot of double teaming help. And like everyone else has been saying, agility on the edges.

I agree with a lot of the stuff some of you guys said so far, like "AGI is helpful for OTs", etc.

I wouldn't be surprised on the other hand if the engine was simpler then that and just took STR + BLO into account.
