Or they could study film, spend more time reading the playbook. You gain more knowledge as you play more. Just tossing it out there. I'm not saying that you can train INT as a regular stat, just something that could be increased through training camp

Good argument.

But I guess the Developers were thinking that you are born with a certain amount of intelligence. Perhaps Consistency plays a factor?

For example, I could have 20 Intelligence but I have Consistency 20>0. On any given day, I could be the cleverest man alive, the next, the dumbest.

Who's to know how the Engine caters for Intelligence

I am just most interested in compressing some hard training before the season begins and then relaxing the training during the season. I leave it to the programmers to decide the parameters of the camp. I'm just happy that it is being considered.

Another suggestion about Trainin Camp:
it could be useful in order to have a team training (instead of each player a different training) and increase Stamina or Strenght or Speed... for all the players before season starts.
