I was just thinking.. since there is no listed player weights and heights.. from what i can see at least, the game is really all based on their attributes like strength and tackling ext...

which leads me to my question
does anyone play a 3-4 defense on grid iron? Cause i was thinking about it, and how would you know where to play people. For example I'm using my 2 strongest Defensive linemen (quite beastly) at DT and then i have my other 2 guys at end. i really aim to stop the run cause I'm yet to see anyone pass all over me though I haven't been playing very long at all. But since i cant tell who is bigger, i wouldn't know who to use at nose tackle for a 3-4 defense, and for the 2 defensive ends as well.
anyway yah i was just wondering if anyone plays a 3-4 scheme and how effective it can be. i prefer the 3-4 in real life, i think its alot more versatile but im extremely hesitant to use it here.

Use according to your players skill sets.
I play the 3-4 because I have 4 good LB's that I want on the field.
I used to play the 4-4 with one safety on top but now I choose to have 2 safeties with the passing game getting stronger in my division.

In short, if you only have 3 good LB's and 4 good DL's,or oppsite, use the 4-3 or 3-4 and have your best talent on the field. IMO

early on in D5 and d4 everyone runs the ball so defenses are usually stacked in the box

however later on, many team run 3-3-5 (lot of times team run 2-3-6 or 2-2-7 cuz the pass is so hard to stop) because it becomes impossible to run and everyone passes. passing actually becomes the best way to score when you get higher up

but yea 3-4 is quite common but the most common imo at higher levels is at least 5 dbs

I think it depends on how many tight ends/wide receivers the other team has. More tight ends means more linebackers and more wide receivers means more corners. That is my opinion, it may not be correct.
