thought i make a thread for this

so first game in the books and only 2 of the 5 were human v human

Chthonian Rebukers edges out the Megopolis Monsters in a very tight 7-0 game in the battles of 2 DII.2 returners from last season. surprisingly low scoring. The Rebukers are one of the top contenders for this division so a first game win was very good for these guys. Monsters also have an outside shot of the title and promotion but take a hard hit to their chances with this loss. Great jobs by both defenses holding the opponents offense to nothing much

in the other human game its was my team the newly promoted OC Lakers vs the Poo Choo Express, a top 3 performer in this division last season. What i thought would have been a grudge match became a blowout. The express offense had a solid game by GI standards moving the ball but didnt punch it in. Fortunately for me, my qb had one of his good games this time around and put up 400+ yards and 4 td. Big win for the Lakers as we prevail 28-10.

other 3 humans teams in the league handle their bot stomp and top the top 3 spots for right now in the division. Should be an interesting season

Thanks for putting something up iman...I have been swamped lately so I haven't had a chance to do much other than set tactics lately. Hope you can keep up some commentary and I will pitch in when I can.

I don't know if i will contribute much...but I do appreciate the input...so keep it coming.

The Rebukers are an interesting team...I never built them right initially because I kept playing in bot heavy leagues...but promoted the first two season I played. So basically I had/have decent starters but no depth.

Now, I know to build a team...but haven't quite invested the time to do so.

As it is now, I am probably on track for a 2-4 finish each season in this league for a while.

again this week only 2 human battles
first battle was a tight one with Chthonian Rebukers edging out Lebanon Gila Monsters by a score of 28-24. What a match. the Gila Monsters had a 21-14 lead entering the fourth and extends it to 24-14 before the Rebukers mounted a comeback. the Rebukers pull of the comeback with a game winning 58 yard TD with only seconds left on the clock. talk about miracles. the balanced attack of the Gila Monsters held up for most of the game until the fourth when they only managed a FG. 2 game changing plays were the game winner and the 84 yard td pass in the 4th. rebukers pass game came alive on those 2 plays as they expose the Gila monsters defense. half of the rebukers pass yards came on those 2 game deciding play. with this win the Rebukers take a major step forward towards promotion as they win while not necessarily being the best team on the field for the day. Thats what winners do though, they win games even while not playing well. the Gila Monster take this tough one at home nonetheless. talk about taking the breath out of the crowd. No worries though as this season is still young.

Poo Choo Express handle the Paxtang Giant Hornets 24-0. great bounce back game from the Express after last weeks defeat to the hands of my OC Lakers.the Hornets offense didnt move the ball and only managed 135 passing/171 total. the Express had a balanced attack that put points on the board and a stifling defense. Solid with for the Express. the Hornets in the first human showing come up disappointing. However, like i said before, the season is young and we will have to wait and see what happens

other 3 teams had the bot stomp and some positions are rearranged but nothing major

Man, my team seems to like close games. They came through even with a 39.1% pass completion rating.

These tendency for close games may not bode well againts iman and the OC Lakers, however. Even if we do have the swagger to pull out close games even against the Lakers, i am afraid if it is close to long, the Lakers will pull away.

Should be fun. Thanks for the updates.

Wow what an oddity for a week.
All 5 games were complete blowouts and all the winning teams pitched a no-no

2 Human games but unfortunately one of them had the bot orders from the Monsters. i assume an injured player causing the illegal formation and blowout. The Indians took full advantage and hammered the Monsters.

so onto the only "competitive" human game
The OC Lakers make a huge statement and score a great 28-0 win against the Chthonian Rebukers. Tyler Mullin led the Lakers' O with 4 td, 1Int for 372 yards. He spread the ball around as usual and torched the Rebukers' D. The Rebukers couldnt get anything going on offense either as they were blanketed all 4 quarters for only 73 total yards. Im not gonna lie, it was a huge win for me and im stoked right now. This should put me in the lead for the promotion but right now i still sit second behind the Indians.

First of all, congratulations on the SHUTOUT win iman.

Second, congrats on keeping it to under 100 yards offense and less than 20% pass completion. (I hope you aren't giving away the secrets...even though they were probably known already...to demolishing the Rebukers )

Two consecutive no scores (incl. friendly) by me after two consecutive squeeker league wins.

I guess the positive is my new/current punter got ten attempts in his first game.
