You probably heard that from me It's just a term we're using because people forget how new the game is, and many expect good suggestions to be implemented straight away.

I assume you will see quite a few additions in the second season, but I believe that the base of the game will stay the same

Some of us believe that a Special Teams unit will be in use for next season. Also, little things such as the Punter and Kicker will be more useful.

Unfortunately I am only a moderator, and not part of the Development Team

I am moderating the forums and answering questions, allowing them to spend more time to develop things for the game, to implement in the near future. Perhaps one of those is a Draft. Who's to know

EDIT: One thing I can tell you is: Look at the Construction tab. One of the four buildings you can construct is a Youth Academy. This should answer your question for the short term

A draft would be a silly feature to implement in my opinion.
It's about have players en developing them on long term either to sell or to train and make your team better.
A draft would not really help long term planning / training
