Depends on position. It does not matter for kickers, and I believe it just lowers skills as a player goes on. IE He may start with 20 passing, but low stamina may make it drop to 16, so main skills are more important IMO.

I used to think that stamina effected all skills but I'm fairly sure now that it only effects physical skills.
If you go by the "stats" after each game, it appears stamina effects how your players perform late in each half. Personally I am shooting for stamina of 10 for starters

To me it seems stamia is very important. I have players with 5 stamia and the lose 1.0-1.5 star rating of BPOS per game.
I too am aiming for stamia of 10 currently, so I've noticed my offensive scores less and my defence allows more points in the 2nd half.
It also effects you energy levels which in turn effects you starting BPOS for every game.
