When do the ages for the players change? Is it the first day of the offseason or the first day of the next season?

First day of new season because there really isnt a "offseason" its more of a short period with no league games...think of it as a long bye week(s)

If I remember correctly, then it will happen on Wednesday. If not, then it it is the following Wednesday.

I remember one season it displayed the new wages the first wednesday, but calculated based on that on the second wednesday

Yeah that was two seasons ago when they did the wage system update, so people had a bit of a warning

I think it's an amazing coincidence that all my players have their birthday on the same day - what are the chances of that!

On the subject of age (sort of) - does anyone know when you get notified that a player will retire at the end of the season? Does it only happen at the beginning of each season or, if not, is there a cut off date when you know you are safe?

i believe it is the start of each season, when players age, those that decide to retire will have it noted that they will retire at the end of the season...
