Yup, about what I did. I calculated how much money I would lose by updating a section whether it was in the middle of the season or not, and ran that against the numbers of how much money I'd make by updating the section. Up until around the middle of last season, I had one section with very few VIP and Execs. Simply because I was bringing in enough money to make it a financial negative to do construction without finishing off the VIP and Execs. Hah, I hope that made sense..I'm tired. lol

Well this is only my second complete season, so I'm sure it will take a few seasons. I'm trying to save enough money so that I can build all of my exec and VIP seats for one section during the offseason. Is that what you veterans do? My plan is to build all the $ seats one section at a time. Then go through and do the same for the regular seats. Sorry for the off topic question, just happen to be on and it popped in my head lol.

I built them pretty evenly throughout, but then when I got down to where 500,000 or so would finish off a section I did it that way. Now I'm maxed out and working on regular seats. I think once my current construction is done I'll be at 40,000, then this offseason I'll probly put in at least another 10,000.

But yeah, you can't go wrong with maxing out your VIP's and Execus, no matter if it's an even distribution throughout the stadium or one section at a time.

Back on topic: I would take a look at their current players ratings. If they have a lot of high rated players at that position it could be just a matter of no roster room and they are decent to good players.

I also keep an eye out for players on sale and if it is a new owner pounce on it. Many times they don't know what they got and sell it. My best gambles have been with "Free Agents" as they are either from a bot team or fired from a team. If they were fired from a human team then their stats wouldn't be that great to warrant picking up anyway. So bot free agents have worked out for me so far.

I just got the second biggest steal I've ever had. $36,750 for a dude who will start for the next 12 years. Bidding on the expensive guys is simply only for those who need to put a roster together fast for BPOS or experience reasons, or for those who simply don't have the patience to go through the transfer market and find the gold.

I've only gotten one or two good players that I payed a lot for. That was from the iron bowl winner fire sale. Of course the best one I got has now capped at 16 speed and 15 strength. He is 19 years old, 4 talent, 7 catch, 20 intel. Think I'll be selling him when the season is over. My best players I've gotten are from the youth pull or the cheaper guys in the 5-15k range....

You don't have to wait for the off season. When you have two road games in a row you can build and not have it hurt you. I myself built executive first and am just about to finish my VIP's. Don't worry about the topic. Hmmmmmmmmmm fudge!!!!!
