for a qb does it matter if you throw more my k converted to rb very quickly but i run the ball a bunch... my te is taking longer to convert to qb will passing more speed this up?

Nope. Some players switch quicker because they have lower positional ratings as their BPOS(best position) or higher BPOS ratings in the position you are attempting to convert them too. As long as they're in the game, their BPOS is going up. Talent also affects speed of which BPOS goes up, the higher the talent, the quicker they gain rating.
