Are you supposed to gain experience after a cup match? I just played one and none of the 30 players involved gained anything on experience or positional rating which has never happened to me after any other matches coz you always pick up half a point somewhere across the team??
Team chemistry was all at 5 so can't ask about that

Experience is a bit tricky. There are 100 points of experience divided into the 5 stars of experience that are shown, which means 10 points of experience for each .5 star. But there is only a 75% chance that a player will gain a point of experience in a league or cup game. This chance drops to 50% if it is a friendly. Unless your player was right on the cusp of gaining another .5 star, i.e. he had 9, 19, 29, 39 etc.. points, then you wouldn't see an improvement in his experience rating.
