well when i joined and the div i was in i knew it would be season 4 for a possible promotion since two teams where in my league since the start and i got in 1.5 seasons in so had to catch up came 3rd and 2nd respectively in seasons 2&3. my plan after reading the forums extensively for all the good advice dotted around, which i advise any newcomer to read.

i put all into my stadium in wot was left of season 2 season 3 i had enough to build a fitness centre and 20 coaches and trained my guys all season on it. this season i bought 20 def coaches and will build build build for next season.
i never extended my budget and sat on 1.4 million waiting for my build phase in 3 weeks time so should get 1 side maxed on exec at least any more is a bonus.

i think some new coaches look as far as the end of their nose instead of the long term goals in this game and fall foul of it when caught out.

one other thing to think about is the challenge u will have in your league for the season. evaluate where u think u will be and adjust your plan to that, as far as im concerned my plan is on target and my aim this season is a 18-0 which isn't tough as i beat 2 of the 3 humans already and rest bots. but my main target is single figures scored against me in league games due to a not very exciting league.

Yep.. for example i have a very young, raw tam, in in the V division, but there league is 8 humans and only 2 bots.... i hoped to win a few games, and stay near the hunt, but dont expect promotion... after 4 games, beating human teams i lost to last season, and wining all 4 im feeling better about my team, but am staying realistic that it would be a big surprise to promote...

Everything but fitness. Fitness skills are impacted by the fitness center.
