What are these, how do you get them and what is the significance?

if you have a supporters account, you collect a flag when you play an away friendly in a different country. they dont do anything other than look nice and give you something to try to do....

And even if you decide to get a supporter account later on, the flags you would've collected so far will still show up. So you can technically start collecting now, you'll just have to keep track of them yourselve until you decide to become a supporter.

now i didnt know that... good bit of info to remember (think i would probably assume that happened, like ho the stadium is there even though the picture is not shown lol... but good to have confirmed...)

Good comparison! But yeah, I'm a living example that it works that way! Both friendlies I've played since becoming a Supporter have been in Germany but I got 9 other flags as well from before being a supporter.
