I had a great 4 1/2 talent youth pull today with very good fitness skills without caps. His other skills don't let me favor any position so I was wondering on which position fitness skills are most important.

5'6" and 450 lbs. But thats irrelevant. If he wants to know some guidelines to build team ON HIS/HER OWN, so he/she don't have to give away youth pull stats all the time, why not give him/her some.
Like:
Speed is most important to WRs in offence and CBs in defence.
Strength is most important to OL in offence and DL in defence.
Strength and Speed is needed for RB on offence and SF on defence.
Strength and some Speed is needed for TEs on offence and LBs on defence.
Stamina is needed by everyone, but kicker.

wow.... no need to have a go.. was just trying to help...

alternativlly to what you said, you could just direct him to the "PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING! " sticky in the Center for rookies as it contains that information and more...

http://www.grid-iron.org/index.php?page=community&subpage=viewt&t=4096

let me say again... only asked those questions to give him better reasoned advice... in your comments on speed and strength for given positions, you didnt mention intelligence etc which are fixed values and affect positions as well, hence my asking it...

Thanks for your reply, I know the sticky and I've been playing this game for some time, I just didn't post on the forum.
I just like to know what position you would make him play if his speed/strength are like 18/18 (I know he's likely to have a cap before he gets there but anyway I'd just like to know).
His intelligence is 12, consistency 9, speed 15, strength 13.

if i were you, and you don't need him at any specific position right now, i'd just plan a lil ahead. by that i mean you take a look at your roster, and if there's one position where there's one or 2 players who might retire soon ( age 30 or more), then that's the position i'd start training your new guy to get used to.

tbh, speed doesnt seem to be all that important for offensive players.
str however seems to be very important for the lineman

Totally agree. A play with Speed 1 can score a 100 yard touchdown. All that is needed is between 2 (pass) and 3 (run) broken tackles ...
