I know there is a similar post but as a noob to the game should we be trying to move our young players to different positions?

How often do other people change players positions?

example:
16 year old OL
4 star talent
SKILLS
Positioning 3 Tackling 6 Punting 7
Vision 2 Blocking 5 Speed 8
Intelligence 13 Passing 1 Strength 15
Footwork 4 Catching 3 Agility 1
Carrying 6 Kicking 6 Stamina 2

This player can perform quite good as OL.

To change his natural position, just make him play where you want and soon it will automaticaly change.

He could also be a perfect Nose Tackle
just use youre guts what you like.
pay attention to talent and rating too.

is there a certain age where it doesnt make sense my 26yr old TE is clearly my best option at QB

players convert independent of age, so 2 players with similar BPOS, and talent will change position at the same rate.... if BPOS is low, i would move the older players as well... might as well do them all at once...

Your best bet is while you're in Division 5 move everyone you want to all at once. Get them into their correct positions while you're playing bots. You'll still win the games, and when you get to Division 4 next year you'll have a better team than if you kept them all where they were and tried to train their skills at their current positions.

given that QB is possibly one of the most important positions i'd def. try and pick someone for the long term. i.e go much younger.

you'll prob have a reasonable amount of bot-stomps for a while so you can afford to let people develop into positions with out worrying about getting thumped by your opponent.

trawl through your young players 16-19. find someone with a talent of around 4* with high intelligence and vision, and stick them in dedicated passing training. then make sure you play that person at QB every game friendlies and league.
