I am a new team and on my first 2 weeks of training i had only 2-3 players go up in something. Is this common? Now is it better to train in all skills or single? Because when train all in some i dont need some of the skills.

Yes, it is normal. I would train all skills because if you train one skill then your salary will go up and you don't want that.

Hope this helps

You will get more training pops if you have training halls and better coaches. I think for new teams its advisable to send most of your cash on expanding your arena, but I'd also suggest before that, you invest in a coach (10+) for either fitness or defense.

That's how I started out -- I got a level 10 defense coach and trained my O-linemen in blocking and my defenders in tackling.

agreed... Defence gives you Blocking (o-line), Tacking (Def. in general) and Agility (all positions to some extent) although it will increase your wages,

Fitness gives you Stamina, speed and strength, again, something for everyone... but wont affect your wages...

personally i would go Fitness, as helps decide where players will play best with caps etc early on, but defense is also good to start with...

Very normal to only have a few skill increases early on. There may be some weeks where you have no increases for any players.
I recommend focus training on fitness skills (stamina, speed, or strength). These can help your players and doesn't increase wages in the coming year.

What about focusing on those skills for a player that a needed but low.

Salary are slanted for those one skill wonder types so focusing on primary skills for a player that is far below his top skill would be beneficial I think.

I have been micro managing my training a bit and focusing on those skills that are close to going up and getting those increased first. Particularly the physical ones.
