What is the best defence to use? my first 2 games i have used a 2DE 2DT with 3 LB and 2 cb and 2 fs. Not sure i like that.

Well, if I were you, I would play 1 FS and 1 SS because if you don't have a SS than your opponents can get big runs against you. Hope this helps

i do 2 ss and it stops the pass quite well.

I use two FS and it stops the runs quite well The specific SS or FS isn't that important in my opinion, it is all about the player.

So how about how you use your defence? 4-3-4,3-4-5,3-3-5...etc. What set is best in anyones opinion?

IMO there is no real "best formation"

It depends on your players, your tactic style and of course the opponent. I like a 4-3 very much, but a 3-3-5 did work too for me...

imo, its a lot easier to stop the run with a 4-3 than it is 3-4

3-3-5 seems to work great for me. It is all about your players. If you have a lot of good linemen, run a 4-3 or maybe a 5-2. If you have a lot of good linebackers, run a 3-4. If you're good in the secondarys, try a 3-3-5.

I have tried the 4-3-with 2cb and 2fs and did pretty good and now i am going to try the 3-3- with 2cb 2ss and 1fs to see what happens.

Best way to do it. Try out something different until you find something that works and you feel comfortable with.

Personally I run the same formation you're about to try and it works great for me.
