Is there a time limit to when i should save game orders? For example, an hour before game time, or 30 minutes?

I was just wondering because i set Game Orders 30 minutes before gametime and i lost against a bot team because my WR and OL player were rushing, and that same OL player was passing. My #1 QB and HB didnt even play at all. I havent looked in depth but considering these facts, i dont think my lineup was set at all.
