Tactics Settings QA - Admins please help:
When setting is:
On 4th down punt or attempt a field goal if distance < 35 yards
Unless yards left 40 On 4th down 1
when run(%) 50
-> Ball is: 4th and 1 at XYZ90 (so its a 17 yards FG attempt)
What will happen:
a) Because it is 4th and 1 -> "Go for it"Order superseed Punt/Kick-Order -> will be a rush/pass try depending on the settings (50% run)
b) forget the "Go for it"Order -> this will be a FG attempt
Thanks in advance @Admins!
I would say "a" is the right anwer...

a) because Admins posted that run/pass has priority over punt/FG

Okay, I think I have improved the explanation
This is how I understand the admin answers given in the thread in global:
These are the options, 5 settings:
___________________________________________________________
[TICK] On 4th down punt or attempt a field goal [if distance < FG yards]
Unless yards left [RUSH-1] On 4th down [RUSH-2]
when (run %): 10% 20% 30% 40% 50% 60% 70% 80% 90%
___________________________________________________________
Always go for it on 4'th down If you dont have a decent kicker/punter you will have the possibility to go for it.
- remove the TICK in the box in the first line
- select your percentage for run on the 4'th down
(some people think that you will always punt with this setup, lets see after coming friendly )
Always kick or punt on the 4'th down Lets say you want a FG from 39 yards and in, else you want to punt.
- set the TICK in the box in the first line
- select the distance for your kicker to try FG, if you want FG attempts from 39 yards and in: select [if distance < 40 yards]
- select NEVER in the RUSH-1 box
Punt or Go-For-It Never kick. Always punt or go for it.
Lets say within 30 yards and only missing 2 or less yards
- set the TICK in the box in the first line
- select the distance for your kicker to [never]
- select [30] in the RUSH-1 box
- select [3] in the RUSH-2 box
Kick, punt, rush and pass on the 4'th down To do this you need to accept that it will be in this order
1: above a certain distance you will punt
2: from the same distance and in you will try a FG unless you only need a few yards for a new 1'st down
- set the TICK in the box in the first line
- select the distance for your kicker to try FG, if you want FG attempts from 49 yards and in: select [if distance < 50 yards]
- select 50 in the RUSH-1 box if you always want to rush/pass if you only need a few yards
- select 3 in the RUSH-2 box if you want to rush/pass if less than 4 yards are needed for a new 1'st down
- select your percentage (on the bar) for run on the 4'th down
This would give:
- Punt over 49 yards
- FG from 49 yards in
- Run/pass if the 4'th is less than 4 yards from a new 1'st down
