My two starting WRs have really high talent, but I am a bit concerned about their speed. One of them capped in speed at 12 and the other capped at 13. So is speed really that important for a WR?

speed doesnt seem to matter as much as it does IRL
backs dont need speed, defenders dont need speed, wr dont need speed

I agree. Overall rating + situational skills(agility, catching, etc.) really seem to matter more than speed in my limited experience.

I'll agree too, one of my best receivers is under 10 speed

I noticed almost zero change in performance training speed for one of my receivers all of last season. Catching seems to be the driving factor along with footwork/agility.

On a similar note, do you think that speed is a key factor with half backs?

I don't think speed is that important for Half backs. I have two Halfbacks, one has 15 strength and the other has 11 strength. The half back with the better strength always seems to be better.
