Hi,
don't know if someone already asked this, if so, my apologies, I couldn't find it anyway, heres my question:

From time to time there are players being transfer listed for huge sums of money. Thats ok. Then there is someone (obviously) rich enough to buy them and bids on them. Still ok. Then I take a look at the skills of this player and I'm lost. That guy su***, he is way worse than any of mine and I just started a few months ago. How can this be? I mean, I'm not complaining, everybody is free to do what he wants, I just dont get it. Is there a special secret about those players? Do they have superpowers I'm not aware of?

And on a similar note:
I saw this manager who buys and sells a load of players all the time, which is ok. But then he bought a player for 5000 and sold him three days later for 500000. And thats not the only transaction of this dimension. Us that pure luck? Or talent? Cause I'm a little envious...^^

Anyway, thx for your help/opinions and sorry for the lengthy post.

You will find with some of the high price players, not all, that they have high talent, meaning high potential with their skills going higher than most with the right training.

And a lot has been said about the second issue in the forums if you look hard enough

Please keep accusations out of the forum. We have no proof of anything that happened simply the fact that it was questionable. We leave it up to the admin to judge. Since that has been done, we leave it as such.

mdj i know u like to boost your post count but there was really no need to point that out when stud had already made it!

the cost of a player in one persons eyes doesnt mean its the same in another ones. that said its usually quite obvious even if unproven.

you can advertise a player with bogus stats and no repercussions, but u cant buy him for an over rated price without accusation and probing.

was just directing him to the relevent section of the rules, hence th link so he could check over what could and could not be said.... official wise...

as for post count... well maybe this should be my last post from now on???... was only trying to help. but obviously trying to guide people to the correct place on the site so they can read the 'official' info is looked down on.

I included a link in the post and a qute of the rules so that the person involved could actually see it as written, not through 'work of mouth' where things can be misinterpreted..

maybe a better post would be advising him go read community rules and FAQ. just felt like a wasted post not that the info in it was wrong.
