Sometimes you have to spend money to make money. A GUI developer working one day a week could easily churn out many of the interface related suggestions in the approved suggestion list over the 18 weeks of a season. Schedule a release every six weeks and give the user community something to look forward to during the course of a season.

This is what I meant by "no progress". If I wasn't using Grease Monkey, the interface would be unusable.

Very valid and good points in this small "hijacking" of the thread. This is perhaps the reason to my frustration with this game at the moment. The major lack of progress within a decent time line. Right now I feel that we are finishing 3rd season and that is over 1 year of gaming and progress have been made, but nowhere near the where it could have been, if there had been a prober business plan, marketing plan and project management behind this game. Now we are being told that it will take a year before the new game engine will be ready, so that means we might be lucky to get it for Season 6, but more likely at Season 7. That is 3-4 more seasons of the current game engine... This is simply not good enough in my opinion.

Right now I'll stay while I still have my Supporter account and to a minimum of Season 4. After that I have to decide what to do, but it really depends on the progress of the game.

I was about to buy a year supporter, but then I thought about if this game is going to progress and get better. I'm going to wait to see what benefits you get from having a supporter.

I'm basically in this boat. I've been around for several months because there is a lot of promise and the beginnings of a great community. But just like any other business, people won't pay money for the product you could deliver in the future. You have to make an initial investment (and take the risk) and then work hard enough to make sure you re-coup all of those costs and more

I don't mind supporting a game with a subscription like a year, if there is active and notable progress. That is why I feel a bit shafted at the moment after having bought a year Supporter account.

Same here, I dont mind supporting a game that I think has potential but at first I was waiting till I got a new side job so I could afford the Supporter account more easily but now that I have the job, I'm still hesitating because things just seem to progress very slowly and I don't know how long my patience will last.

Right now I still have a lot of things to look forward to (promotions, developing my team further, play actual cup games etc.) but I'm still somewhat confused about the actual intentions of the Admins.

As Wizkid and others said: if you think about the economics behind this game, the Admins are leaving their intentions/aims a little too unclear for my taste. For people with experience in this kind of business (and the Admins did say that this isn't their first game), I'm just a little puzzled sometimes at the way they run this game or their information policy respectively.

As Blackhawk said: sometimes you need to spend money to make money. And I like his concept of paying someone 1 day per week to implement stuff in 6 week intervals.

So if the solution seems that simple, I have to ask myself: why hasn't someone been hired for the smaller stuff?
The only reason that I could think of is that the want to develop this game at low costs because it is just a side project. But then they should definetely let us know and not keep us wondering about the slow speed of progress.

Although I still hope the Admins will prove us all wrong with a huge update this season and thus showing they just needed some time to get going with this game and everything will be golden in the future!

But I remain doubtful...
