Hey ya'll, does a team's initial 1000 seats always sell out? I can't seem to find any game where less show up, so if it's true that you are guaranteed 1000 people is it also true you are guaranteed more?

I suppose my actual question then is...how many people given a zero win team in cold snowy conditions for a D-V team will make the trek to the stadium on game day to pad my pockets with cold hard cash?

Something around 38000 seats for regular games in D5...and between 9000 and 15000 for friendly games shouldn't be a problem!

You are guaranteed a lot more.
In standard conditions, no adjustments for bad/good weather, bad/good form ... you will get

60.000 in top division
54.000 in any 2nd division
48.000 in any 3rd division
42.000 in any 4th division
36.000 in any 5th division

So number 1 priority for any new team is to increase stadium, one section at a time (dont remove all 4 section in one build)

Attendance
Attendance is calculated by using the basic attendance (60.000) and manipulating that number by different factors that effect the willingness of spectators to come and see the game:
- League level
The basic attendance is lowered by 6.000 for each level below the first; 54.000 for second level, 48.000 for third, 42.000 for fourth, and so on until the basic attendance is 6.000. The basic attendance stays 6.000 after the tenth level.
- Team Form
Team form plays a big factor in the minds of the spectators. They are much more willing to come and root for their team if the team has a good league run and less willing to come when the team hits a bad streak.
- Team Postion
For every position above the last a team gets 1% more attendance. (For Example: a Team that is fifth will get 5% more attendance - calculated with the basic attendance, not the attendance modified by the team form or weather)
- Weather
Weather can make a big difference when it comes to attendance. If it's sunny then the crowds are more willing to go and see the match. If the weather is bad then the people tend to stay at home rather than go to the game.

Thanks TFisch, but I did fully read the FAQ, I attempted to clarify that in my original post by listing the qualifiers bad weather, team on a major losing streak, etc.

The problem with the FAQ is it uses vague terms.
i.e. "less willing to come when the team hits a bad streak."
and "If the weather is bad then the people tend to stay at home rather than go to the game."

I cannot quantify those statements.

I'm sure someone has paid attention to the point where the sell outs stop. That's all the info I was looking for.

Ahh, okay - I dont have those number. But would like to share my thoughts.

But with regards to income from club shop the guide lines have proven pretty accurate for me. So I assume its the same for attendance!

Base income: 36.000
Position: a zero team is probably number 10, so no bonus here
Form: good question, is real bad the base like for position?
Weather: same as form? we dont know

Worst case scenario
But anyway, top position can give +9%
So lets assume that there is the same amount of adjustment for form and weather, just as 0 to -9%
That will give an attendance of: 82% of 36.000 = 29.520

Best case scenario
If all modifications are positive, the zero winning team will still get the base attendance of 36.000

My guess
I would expect form to have same modification range as position, but balanced.
A 4-0 team would get +4%
A 3-1 team would get +2%
A 2-2 team would get +0%
A 1-3 team would get -2%
A 0-4 team would get -4%
I guess weather is balanced impact too, but not with such a high modifier
Sun: +2%
Rain: 0%
Thunder: -2%
All put together it gives a total 'worst' modifier of -6%: 33.840

But I have to say that this is pure speculation and I'm not sure if there are enough big stadiums yet to investigate and find the answer!
