Seriously, your argument is that a junior high player could outrun an NFL player if the NFL player is having a really bad day? That holds absolutely no weight whatsoever.

I can't find any reasoning that a 5 should ever beat a 15.

The 15 could misuse his feet and struggle...as one example

And he could fall down a hole dug by a mole on the pitch

You all know that could happen

Haha. In the NFL, all it takes is one slip of the foot for a CB who is playing tight to get beat by a slower WR. I can easily see a 13 speed guy beating a 15 speed guy given the right circumstances.

But idk where the comparison of a 5 speed and 15 speed player being compatible came from, but if a 5 speed player had a +20% "good day" and the 15 speed player had a -20% "bad day", their speeds still wouldn't be close. The 5 speeder becoming a 6 speed, and the 15 becoming a 12..

IMO a player with speed 20 is not 20 times as fast as a player with speed 1.
I see it more like: a player with speed 1 is speed 81, and a player with speed 20 is speed 100.

So than it is possible for a player with speed 5 to beat a player with speed 15.

Especially when you include Consistency into the equation

it doesn't matter it happens and thats a good thing to a degree. as stud states and others the WR could get away with beating the fast CB. bump n go wrong footing or simply the QB put the ball in the perfect catch zone that the CB couldnt deal with. even underdogs have their day sometimes.

i hope underdogs have their day in this game as i hope to steal a title this weekend.

Well I guess the root of the question is this:

Is 1 through 20 actually 1 through 20 like it states

OR

Is 1 through 20 actually 81 through 100 like an above poster states.

If it's the second option, then I could see a CB getting beat with wrong footing, etc. like you're staying. But if it's the first, as we're led to believe by the current engine, then no way does a 5 beat a 15 ever.

If we're playing with the 1st option being true under the current format, then an increase from 10 to 11 is a 10% increase in skills and pretty significant.

If we're playing with the 2nd option being true under the current format, then an increase from 90 to 91 (10 to 11) is a 1% increase in skills and is pretty minor.

So... which is it?

It wouldn't make any sense to do it in the way 1 means nothing and 20 means all. Even my grandma would have a 10

But when I look to the transfer list, there are mostly players with speed/strength above 10, some less are below that. So could be I am wrong and 1 means 1

In that case you have a fast grandma lol
I think 6 or 7 fits a grandma 10 is on average human being
and 21 is on my level

Important game engine question uncovered here though. Why did the developers choose 20 as the top of the attribute range?

Is it directly proportional up and down the scale?

Is 7 compared to 6 the same difference as 17 compared to 16?

I just took a look on my roster the lowest speed is 7 this also counts for the transferlist is for speed 7 the lowest or has anyone seen a player with lower than 7
