I put my strongest guys on the line, my most intelligent and agile at linebacker, and my fastest in the secondary. I then play a 3-3-5, make sure they can all tackle, and have trained stamina.

The result is that my defense alone has won quite a few games for me in the last couple of seasons. Now if I can just figure out the offense the same way.

My 4-4-2-1 works great vs the run....

speed seems to affect play length so go with slow DBs at your own risk.

A good defense is a great offense....keep the drives alive and make them count with points.

not so sure about that
against bots and humans my old secondary, which was filled with guys 16+ speed 5+ agi and footwork, was getting beat left and right. ever since i switched to a lower speed but higher tackling (and raise my positional rating) they've gotten a lot better.

So what's considered a slow CB/WR these days.

A Speed of 11 is usually where I consider medium speed. Anything below is slow. Nevertheless, I don't normally let fitness scores affect my DB selections too much (since we're all playing zone). I find the positioning skills to be much more important.
