Where do the cornerbacks come into play on special teams? I've always assumed that they were the tacklers on an opponents punt return but suddenly realised that that's probably the gunners job. Do cornerbacks block on my punt returns instead???

They are the blockers on special team. The gunners are the tacklers. There have been a post about changing the name of the position to remove any misunderstanding. I think we settled on the name "Jammer", as their job is to jam the opposition gunner and prevent him from making the tackle.
