yes 4-3 vs 3-4 comes down to personnel 5-2 only works at the lower levels. a good offense should eat up a 5-2 defense.

Tell that to croverja..

is it still working for you buck? I get toasted when I play it now.

I've been playing it all year and the most I've given up is like 14, and those were both Cup games against good offenses. In league I'm outscoring teams 390-17 and that's with playing quite a few humans in the first half.

Not sure if it's the actual defense or if I just happened to get lucky and get everyone positioned right though.

it really depends not on the best overall players, but the best tacklers.
try to get as many good tacklers out there.

I would use a 4 man front with good tacklers (at least 7) at LB and Safety

remember, stopping the run consistently isnt the issue
its stopping the run when the offense gets a good roll. thats when you have to tackle or else its a 80 yarder.

I've had success for the last 2 seasons against almost any offense with a 3-3-5. Against a strong running team I'd probably switch it to a 4-3 though.

I run a 4-3 with 2 SS it works, although I had 2 close the deal in overtime

good passing teams will of course be able to go over your SS
