What capacities does a good runningback need?

if by capacities you mean skills, then it would be carrying, speed, strenght, and vision.
also blocking might be helpful for further protection of the qb.Last edited on 2009-07-10 at 16:18

to my mind, i've seen most success from RBs with high Str + Spd, with agility being the next most important.
still not overly sure of carrying in regards to how effective a RB is as opposed to just not fumbling the ball..
the biggest overall effect though to my mind is positional rating, makes a massive difference. my RB has high physical stats but his ypc went from about 0.5 to 4-5 since switching to RB as primary role and has been increasing heavily as he gets more positional stars..

From what I've seen, and the majority of feedback I've gotten, Speed and Strength were both important, with Agility and Carrying close behind if you're a running team, or traded for Blocking and Footwork if you're a passing team.
