I currently have $270,000 and I am trying to build the Club Shop, I thought you were allowed to go negative if you were constructing things. I would be $86,000 in the red, but I'm not allowed to build, did I misunderstand the rules on this?

I don't think you can spend extra money that you don't have. You have to have enough money in the bank to buy the building. What could happen is you have enough to buy the building, buy it, then at reset, you go into the negative when salaries, etc. are taken out. So you won't be able to buy it yet. You will have to wait until you actually have the money.

The return on investment on the Club Shop is very poor, so it shouldn't be until you have a huge stadium, about 50-60.000 seats, with all possible VIP and executive seats, before even considering the Club Shop.

From what I've seen, you can only go in the red during the economy update when player and coaches salaries come out.
