Better quality streams of the games can be found here: http://www.sportslivestreaming.com/
Commentating is in German (they're Austrians) though, but you can mute the sound and run the other stream in another browser-window if you want the American commentators (though they're amateurs beyond belief...)

Well, the USA beat Mexico 55-0 in the last game yesterday. I saw the entire game, and it could easily have been three digits for the US if they didn't slow down considerably after 35-0 very very early in the 2nd quarter. RB David Wilson, who will play for Virginia Tech, is a name to keep track of for the coming years.

The next round of games is the final one, and will be played Saturday.
Some predictions...

7th Place Playoff - France vs. New Zealand:
France lost to Sweden despite looking sharp early on. New Zealand only looked sharp on offense on a few plays, but one was a score very late in the game vs. Germany, and probably changes their self-esteem quite a bit. It still won't be enough to make much noice in this tournament. France grabs the victory and 7th spot in the tournament.

5th Place Playoff - Germany vs. Sweden:
Germany wasted no time beating up on New Zealand, and kept doing so throughout their game. With the score 45-0 they still chose to go for it on 4th down for their 52-0 TD (running up the score, anyone?). They proved to be a much more balanced offense than what they showed against Japan, but also explained that afterwards as a tactical choice. Expect more of what NZ got when they take on Sweden. The Swedes on the other hand really couldn't get their balanced offense going the way they wanted to, despite switching QBs early on. Their defense is quite good, but unless they can get a bit more of a passing game I doubt they can revenge last year's loss to Germany in the European championship (Germany won 9-6 if I remember correctly).
Germany is a much more balanced team and grabs the 5th place in the tournament.

Bronze Medal Game - Mexico vs. Japan:
Japan nearly upset Canada with a phenomenal offensive display, but alas - it was not to be. Mexico on the other hand got dragged firmly down to earth after their win against Sweden, and was utterly destroyed by the strong US team. This game will be a totally different setting. Based on what the Mexicans did against Sweden, and the results of Japan vs. Germany and Sweden vs. France, Mexico is the favorite going in to this one. At the same time, the Japanese have proven they have speed, quickness, and very good coaching which gameplans well and adjusts well during the game too. Japan gets their upset in this one, grabbing the bronze.

Gold Medal Game - Canada vs. USA:
I could write a lot here, but it doesnt change the fact that the US team just has so much more talent than any internationally competing youth team ever seen before that it is almost ridiculous. USA wins in a landslide.

And then the champ'ship game is over too. What a great tournament this has been! If you care about the game spreading across the globe, this was certainly something to pay notice to.

USA vs. Canada: 41-3.

This gives the following ranking of the teams competing in the JWC:

1. USA
2. Canada
3. Japan
4. Mexico
5. Germany
6. Sweden
7. France
8. New Zealand

I think my original predicition of how it might end was pretty close

the final result was predictable, the structure that USA has for football is amazing, besides beeing a popular sport inside the country wich makes the game level even higher

Congrats USA on the win, and one day you'll see Brazil fighting for that cup

Thats true because kids over here in America start playing at five in little leagues. But I hope Brazil won't be able to catch up to us! = )

Japan has a pro league to, X Japan, they have HS and college football as well ( football has been going on over there for more than 70 years )but it's still far away from beeing a popular sport.

Also, i can't imagine how their players went threw the world cup, i mean, they have LOTS of players under 5-9 and under 150 pounds and still managed to have the best QB in the competition and finish in 3rd place, they must have one hell of a coaching staff
