Right now I think it is a bit redundant to compare Grid Iron to real life, since it is clear that the two doesn't resemble each other. Would be nice if it did, but with the simplicity of the game engine, then it is a bit much to ask.

Personally I go for both strength and blocking when I evaluate my offensive linemen.

Agree, I was just more pointing out that, in this case, technique is the most important thing in both cases. The two overall have very little in common though.

Strength and blocking both is obviously the absolute best way to go, but personally I'll take good blocking and good footwork with a little less strength over brute strength and no blocking.

From my own experience OL seems to be one of the postions that BPOS matters. I used to have 2 players with relatively good strength, blocking and footwork playing on my OL but OL was not their BPOS.
However, the team gave up quite a few QB pressures every game.
The 2 players were replaced with 2 who had OL BPOS but lower strength, blocking and footwork and the team started to give away far fewer QB pressures. Imho with some positions BPOS seems to matter more than other positions.

If their skill ratings are right but BPOS isn't - just stick with them and BPOS will change then you have quality starters

My standards are at least 5 blocking more is nice but not really important.
And high strength lets say 13+
ATM i got guys with 6 to 9 blocking and 13 to 17 in strength.

Very true. It took me an entire season, but I finally have all my guys in the right spot (or will in the next couple of weeks). I decided to base my players on their attributes and not what the computer told me they should be. Took forever for them to switch over, but I think I'm in a much better position now since I didn't sacrifice high attributes on people that were "playing out of position".

I did the same thing my first season. Skills by position take much longer to train than finding someone who already has the right skills just the wrong bpos.

I have several O-lineman . Some of them have sevens in blocking but 8, 9, and 10's in strength. Some have 15 in strength but 2, 3, and 4's in blocking. Which would be the better blocker ?

I know this is old, but I would definitely take the 15 strength and train up the blocking. At least you know they won't cap at 10-12 strength and be worthless to you.
