Youth Player Advice

So how much does teamwork REALLY play into your decision on whether or not to keep a player? I think I got a pretty good draw with a player in the recent youth pull, but I'm not sure whether or not to keep him... Any advice from a vet would be helpful...

Intelligence 20
Consistency 18
Teamwork 1
Speed 8 (not capped)
Strength 10 (not capped)

The other trainables aren't important because I can improve them if I want. I just didn't know if the 1 on teamwork would be a huge stumbling block later...

Thanks in advance!

that decision is up to ypu, but teamwork is important. it affects how fast a player trains and can increase skills, which is especially important for the youth.

Unless there's something else I'm missing, the 1 teamwork costs you about 9 training points each week.
That's one skill point lost every 11-12 weeks. If you can live with that, keep him.

Now someone may come in here with info that teamwork helps with something else. If that's the case, you'll need to review that new information. But I'm thinking teamwork just adds points to training.

Well, if the build is good otherwise with good talent then I say keep him. In the seasons to come when you hire coaches and training halls your player will grow, not as fast as others, but he will. If you feel the short term is bearable with the player build I see no reason to not keep him.

I agree. If his build and talent look good keep him. It's hard to find that combination of intelligence and consistency. But if he's got low talent or his other stats are low, then dump him. He'd take too long to make into a good player then.

It also depends on what kind of coaching & facilities you have. If you have no training facilities and poor coaching, training with teamwork=1 will be really slow. If you have those all maxed, them its not that big a deal.

The first things I look at when I get a youth player, in this order:
Talent
Intelligence
Consistency
Teamwork

Thanks to all you "vets".

My coaching is 1-1-1-3 with no other facilities, so he wont be training too hard anytime soon. I just loved his int/consistency numbers...
