like every other team, my rb gets tackled for loss a couple of times during a game. now, i was thinking about playing 2 rb's, and using the split back formation. only, on the little picture they show you, when you set your formation, it looks like my rb's would be positioned 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage if i use split backs. Now.. does anybody know if that would lead to more my rb being tackled for loss more often? and if not more often.. but for more loss then? lets say loss of 5 yards instead of 2?
I was also thinking that i maybe insead of using 2 "rb's", i'd just type in fullback left and full back right.. so i'd have the same thing, just that they'd be positioned closer to the line of scrimmage, plus they are closer to the qb, so that they might be able to protect the qb better.could i do that? or would that lower my rb's rating?
i'd be thanksful for all input Last edited on 2009-06-03 at 17:26

we had a similar discussion a few days ago. I did not see any difference between playing splitted FB versus splitted HB for the "tackle for loss" - only checked my own team...

It seems the two HB is better on "both flanks"...only a guess so far

splitted HB works better than splitted FB if you play "attack down both flanks" in tactical settings. Checked this only for my team, so this is a guess only! Could be the HB rushing route is a little bit more outside then the FB rushing route...but could be it was only because different opponents...

I did not see any change for the TFL itself...

Doesn't work too bad if you set it to allow your QB to make the decision either. At least from what I've seen with my team.

My running game is very good, I play a TE eitehr side, spit backs, FB centre, QB choses direction and prefer running. Be aware that the two RB's will block for each other.
