3rd-10--GB90 Pass Robin Spiessens pass incomplete to Antoine Van Genechten.
Field goal Robin Spiessens 17 yard field goal is GOOD.



It's only 10 yards to go, but still, the field goal started at 17 yards.
Why is that?

Its based on the posts being further back behind the End zone. Its not like rugby where the posts are on the try line...

There is also another few yards that get added on I believe. Not too sure why though.

should be 10 yards for the end zone 7 yards from the line of scrimmage for the holder. so a 10 yard field goal is really a 27 yard kick. only the 7 yards for the hold is actually counted though.

No. It`s the spot from which the kicker attempts the FG. It`s always 7 yds from the LOS
